Season planning versus departure weather
Seasonal reputation helps shortlist a trip, but does not establish a departure window. Before fixing the passage, obtain current sea warnings, an issue valid across the planned legs and route-relevant observations. If the plan spans forecast horizons, schedule new checks rather than extending confidence beyond the data.

Choose by exposed hours, not an island ranking
For a family charter, compare how many exposed legs the actual plan contains and how readily the itinerary can be shortened before each one. An Ionian circuit, Athens-based Saronic day and Lavrion–Cyclades voyage should be compared using the same crew and vessel profile but different route timings. Do not imply that one entire region is beginner-safe. The return course and late arrival can be more limiting than the outward passage.

Keep Greek names in a bilingual brief
Record the official sea-area name, issue, validity, units and warning together with a checked translation. This makes a source choice reproducible for a charter crew using different languages. POSEIDON is a complementary marine system, not a replacement issuing authority for HNMS warnings. If the cruise enters Turkish coastal waters, establish the MGM source hand-off explicitly rather than merging both services into an unnamed AI forecast.
