Prepare an actual Dubai Harbour departure, not a generic Dubai city forecast or a different marina's entrance.
Identify Dubai Harbour, not just Dubai Marina
This desk uses Dubai Harbour Marinas as the departure base. Other Dubai marina basins and entrances are different destinations. Confirm the operator, exact berth and current access plan before choosing approach information; the map centre is geographic orientation, not an entrance waypoint.
Complete the operator's pre-arrival process separately
The operator provides a pre-arrival process covering berth reservation, ETA and applicable formalities. Ask the marina which instructions apply to your vessel and voyage, and reconfirm them after a material ETA change. Do not copy a brochure's contact, depth or radio channel into a permanent passage plan without a current check.
Match berth, exit and exposed Gulf leg
Use the NCM marine product for the Gulf coast and evaluate its validity at the exit and exposed-leg ETA. Compare the arrival side's exposure if continuing to another base. The berth's sheltered wind and a general Dubai temperature icon do not answer the wave situation on the next open-water leg.
Keep local restrictions out of the weather score
Open the relevant Dubai Maritime Authority/PCFC notice and distinguish its scope from an unrelated commercial circular. Harbour instructions, construction areas and permissions are independent of a model score. If proceeding toward another emirate, obtain its source set too. This desk does not reproduce an active restriction map or certify that a previous notice has expired.
An alternative needs a real berth and approach check
Compare the original outing with a shorter return or remaining in the confirmed marina. For a return later than planned, recalculate ETA and check wind/wave direction, visibility, available light and operator access. A nearby marina is not a pre-cleared refuge; confirm availability and entrance information before relying on it.
What belongs in the Dubai briefing record
Retain NCM product, selected coast, issue/valid times and original units; note source access gaps. Add actual berth, operator confirmation, applicable navigation notice, crew limits, alternative and next update. For an international onward voyage, check official safety/security advice separately. No weather briefing supplies customs, insurance or port clearance.
Official products by task
- Dubai Harbour Marinas pre-arrival information — The marina operator's own pre-arrival and berth information. Confirm berth, ETA, formalities and current approach instructions directly; marina services do not cancel weather or navigation warnings.
- UAE NCM Albahar marine services — Official marine-service entry for UAE waters. Choose the relevant coast, forecast layer and warning and check issue/validity; current bulletin contents were not independently recovered from this dynamic portal in this editorial review.
- Dubai PCFC / Maritime Authority warnings and circulars — Official Dubai notices and circulars; distinguish navigation information from commercial notices and confirm document scope, amendments and whether it remains in force.
- IMO Gulf and Strait of Hormuz safety information — Official gateway to safety and security advisories; check linked current issuers and local authority instructions. Weather suitability is not security, insurance or port-entry clearance.
Waters and onward passages
- UAE Gulf coast: Dubai and Abu Dhabi
A Gulf-coast weather desk for a coastal leg, with separate checks for exposed water, marina access and each emirate's notices.
Countries and local sources
- United Arab Emirates
Choose the Gulf or east coast, then combine NCM marine products with the actual emirate's port and navigation information.
Map orientation
The approximate area centre is not an approach waypoint, a track, a depth survey or a forecast-zone boundary. The third-party map loads only after your click.
