Split: a departure-source desk, not a generic city forecast.
Forecast sectors and coverage
Use the applicable DHMZ Adriatic warning and marine text for the actual island route. Split, Trogir and Marina Agana are distinct departure locations; this page’s map centre is not the coordinates of all charter bases nearby.
Weather-sensitive legs
Identify the harbour exit and first exposed island channel before choosing the start time. If forecast bura/jugo or a direction shift changes arrival shelter, reassess the destination rather than only the marina wind.
Observations, sea state and reassessment
Confirm the exact berth/entrance and an observation representative of the exposed leg, if available. Inspect timestamp, sensor status and forecast issue separately. Missing observations or local approach/current information remain explicit gaps; this page does not certify depth, navigability or port permission.
Worked planning scenario — not a live forecast
Compare two departure times at the harbour exit, first exposed leg and arrival ETA. Record the next official check and a verified alternative before the point of commitment. If the later option is better only at the berth, it has not yet improved the passage as a whole.
Official products by task
- DHMZ Adriatic marine forecast — Adriatic warnings and marine text; verify the subarea and valid period.
Sector names help you locate the issuing product; they are not an automatic route-coverage match. Open the current issue and check boundaries, issue time and validity. This page does not display current warnings; an unavailable product does not mean no hazard.
Waters and sailing options
- Dalmatian islands
An island-hopping itinerary needs one arrival assessment for every stop, not one forecast for Split.
- Croatian Adriatic
Use the Adriatic warning first, then distinguish coastal channels from exposed island legs.
- Istria and Kvarner
A northern Adriatic dossier for peninsula coasts, exposed gaps and island approaches.
Countries & territories
- Croatia
Northern Adriatic, Dalmatian channels and open crossings are separate weather tasks.
Map orientation
The approximate map centre is not an approach waypoint, track, depth survey or forecast-zone boundary. The third-party map loads only on request.
Build your passage brief
Bring your route, leg timings, vessel and crew profile, checked sources and reassessment triggers into the brief. Personal AI analysis and expert review are available to invited closed-test participants; a port page does not extend the calculation service’s coverage.

The first day starts at the actual charter base
Use the departure berth and actual first island leg, whether the boat is in Split, Trogir or another nearby base. A country or city map centre does not identify the harbour exit or the route's first open gap. A late handover changes the arrival ETA and daylight constraint. Compare a short staging leg with continuing to the original island; do not rank those options by marina wind alone.

Keep return-day and navigation evidence
Record the final charter return as its own marine leg with valid forecast coverage. The planned home base may face a different wind/wave angle from the outward arrival. Use HHI and the applicable harbour sources for navigation changes independently of DHMZ weather. A model's calmer return-hour wind cannot establish clear access or remove a current warning; retain both tasks visibly in the brief.
