Mainland and overseas desks have different issuers
French-language availability does not make a mainland Météo-France coastal bulletin applicable to Réunion, the Caribbean or the Pacific. Start from the local marine service for the chosen territory and its current products. For a mainland Mediterranean voyage, distinguish côte, large and special marine bulletins; for a later overseas leg, make a new source set rather than carrying the same forecast page forward.

Oceanograms complement, not certify, a voyage
Shom's oceanogram documentation describes numerical outputs that have not been individually validated by forecasters. Use their source, valid time and available coverage as context alongside official warnings, applicable charts and current navigation information. An attractive display of waves or currents does not certify a local approach. Links to cross-border or onward waters in this hub are route-discovery aids, not declarations of French forecast jurisdiction.
