The responsible local office issues current warnings. Read zone boundaries and issue times; directory links may not always display the latest product.
Check before a passage
- List the exact coastal and offshore zones crossed rather than using one West Coast forecast.
- Check swell period and direction, wind shifts, visibility and conditions at any harbour bar independently.
- Have an alternate approach and another warning channel if the planned port becomes unsuitable.
